At The Little Pet Boarding, caring for small animals is both a passion and a responsibility we take seriously.

Behind our peaceful farm setting sits a strong scientific foundation. Our founder holds a BSc (Hons) in Medical Biology, a degree grounded in anatomy, physiology, disease processes, hygiene, and close observation. While this background began in human health, the principles are directly relevant to small animal care — where subtle changes in behaviour, appetite, posture, droppings, or activity levels can be early indicators that something isn’t quite right.

This knowledge shapes a calm, attentive approach to boarding. Every animal in our care is observed daily, not only for comfort and enrichment, but for overall wellbeing — including gut health, movement, breathing, 

hydration, and general condition. It means small changes are noticed early and responded to thoughtfully.

All day-to-day care is provided by small animal care–trained staff, experienced in handling, routine health checks, enrichment, and the individual needs of different species. This professional training is supported by hands-on experience and a genuine understanding of small animal welfare, ensuring consistent, knowledgeable care throughout every stay.
